Mist Thermal Sanctuary is dedicated to the ancient traditions of sauna, cold plunge, and forest bathing. We offer contrast therapy rooted in centuries of practice, set within the coastal temperate rainforest of Bowen Island.
Like the ripple effect of water, Mist on Bowen is unwavering in its dedication to community and responsibility.
Mist's private sauna units are prefabricated to minimize construction waste, with unused materials repurposed rather than discarded. The cold plunge and outdoor shower draw from an on-site aquifer, with mineral-rich spring water that sits beneath the venue, independent of municipal infrastructure.
For a Bowen Island attraction, this means the water you immerse in is sourced from the same forest floor you walk across to reach the units.

For those who have been with us throughout our journey at Nectar Yoga Retreat, 2024 marks our 10 year anniversary. We are grateful for your support as we have enjoyed witnessing the reconnective power of nature, yoga, and seasonal living.
Our forest getaway combines tradition with modern comfort, attracting visitors from Metro Vancouver and beyond. We provide overnight stays, wellness retreat experiences, and transformative programs that promote renewal and increased consciousness.
Inspired to expand our mission, we now include hot saunas and cold plunges, also known as the Nordic Cycle, as an extension to yoga. Located next to Nectar Yoga Retreat, Mist Thermal Sanctuary offers a time-honoured tradition of hot and cold therapy.
